The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg John Blixt managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Bayer Neverlosen's Enrique Juvenal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stig-Arne Gadd might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Blixt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig-Arne Gadd ran back to his position shaking his head. Roland Mossberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Blixt having to interfere. Stig-Arne Gadd kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Bayer Neverlosen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Arne Gadd to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Bayer Neverlosen's Roland Hernström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Blixt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 3-0 became the score in the 33rd minute when Enrique Juvenal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Enrique Juvenal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of John Blixt. Grabbens Grabbar FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Juvenal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Gösta Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Björkman in the 39th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Enrique Juvenal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. John Blixt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrik Björkman to make the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Grabbens Grabbar FC's goalkeeper John Blixt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 52 minutes into the game, Bayer Neverlosen's Enrique Juvenal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Blixt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After some careless play in the Grabbens Grabbar FC defense, Enrique Juvenal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John Blixt. The Grabbens Grabbar FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John Blixt should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Roland Mossberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of John Blixt. Grabbens Grabbar FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roland Mossberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Enrique Juvenal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Blixt having to interfere. Robin Alefors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. John Blixt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Stig-Arne Gadd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jens-Erik Kilberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. John Blixt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Juvenal went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. After 75 minutes, Robin Alefors mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bayer Neverlosen and the Grabbens Grabbar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bayer Neverlosen getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Robin Alefors hit a great ball. Olof Lång sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bayer Neverlosen's Robin Alefors got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Roland Mossberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grabbens Grabbar FC's John Blixt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Juvenal in the 83rd minute of play. Roland Hernström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. John Blixt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bayer Neverlosen's zone, Henrik Björkman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gösta Lundgren came out of the goal and Henrik Björkman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 minutes of play, Grabbens Grabbar FC's Karl Askestät made it 9-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gösta Lundgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bayer Neverlosen had played much better football throughout.
