Karl-Axel Martinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Pilgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Veberöd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt Backlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 48 minutes into the game, Bengt Backlund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marc Tönnberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ralf Wiberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Ralf Wiberg made a precise shot to the right of Marc Tönnberg. Huskvarna United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After having played for 59 minutes, Orvar Jespersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 82 played minutes Huskvarna United got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Östensson. After 85 played minutes Veberöd got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Wiberg. Marc Tönnberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt Backlund's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Marc Tönnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt Backlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
