Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Henrik Björkman took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Grabbens Grabbar FC's goalkeeper John Blixt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karl Askestät charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl Askestät the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Karl Askestät hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. William Törnqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but John Blixt made a huge save. 7 minutes into the match, William Törnqvist notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Grabbens Grabbar FC's John Blixt. John Blixt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jens-Erik Kilberg during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jens-Erik Kilberg hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Grabbens Grabbar FC's zone, Kjell Löfkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Blixt came out of the goal and Kjell Löfkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sigvard Vestberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Törnqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute Gösta Lindgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Blixt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 played minutes Ålem RK got a freekick which was hit by Tim Örtlund. Gösta Lindgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. John Blixt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ålem RK defense, Henrik Björkman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joakim Olsson. The Ålem RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joakim Olsson should have stopped the shot. In the 34th match minute, Grabbens Grabbar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sune Pettersson to maneuver through the defense. If Gösta Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gösta Lindgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. John Blixt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Grabbens Grabbar FC got a freekick which was hit by Karl Askestät. Alexander Gustavsson kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Karl Askestät took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joakim Olsson. Ålem RK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute, Gösta Lindgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ålem RK's Alexander Gustavsson suffered a concussion after 53 minutes and had to leave the field. Ålem RK's Sven-Ove Kolberg was substituted for Alexander Gustavsson. The supporters of Ålem RK booed when Grabbens Grabbar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Fogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Blixt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Örtlund in the 57th minute of the match. Inge Örtlund took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for John Blixt. Grabbens Grabbar FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. John Blixt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Lindgren in the 65th minute of the match. Karl Askestät hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. William Törnqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Blixt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. William Törnqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gösta Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henrik Björkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gösta Lindgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. John Blixt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, William Törnqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Blixt was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. William Törnqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. John Blixt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthon Hegg's late challenge caught a Ålem RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthon Hegg helped the player get up and apologised. William Törnqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Blixt having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ålem RK's zone, Henrik Björkman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joakim Olsson came out of the goal and Henrik Björkman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
