An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Erik Brandt in the 9th minute of play forced Sleepy Neanderthals's goalkeeper Viggo Alefors to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Husbåtarna were awarded a corner. Osvald Sigman went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Husbåtarna's Joseph Åberg getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Karl-Erik Brandt struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Viggo Alefors didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Husbåtarna. 25 minutes into the game, Sleepy Neanderthals's Stefan Lindqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ingvar Hääger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kåre Kullander in the 28th minute of play forced Husbåtarna's goalkeeper Ingvar Hääger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viggo Alefors showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Erik Brandt in the 29th minute of the match. Ingvar Hääger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Lindqvist in the 33rd minute of play. Viggo Alefors made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charles Lindkvist in the 37th minute. After 42 minutes, Thomas Kuse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sleepy Neanderthals and the Husbåtarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thomas Kuse hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Ingvar Hääger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Kullander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Charles Lindkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Allan Fastesson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Karl-Erik Brandt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jens-Ola Carlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Viggo Alefors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Osvald Sigman came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Husbåtarna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvald Sigman couldn't finish the play. In the 81st match minute, Sleepy Neanderthals was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Nordin to maneuver through the defense. Osvald Sigman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viggo Alefors having to interfere. Sven-Åke Grönlund took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viggo Alefors. Viggo Alefors dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sleepy Neanderthals's zone, Osvald Sigman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viggo Alefors came out of the goal and Osvald Sigman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Husbåtarna had played much better football throughout.
