In the 28th minute Arild Stavrum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Wallander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Örjan Nordstedt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andréas Jakobsson. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Kumla's Andréas Jakobsson threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michael Hellström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arild Stavrum stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Kumla fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cesko United FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
