The crowd rose to their feet as Stefan Lindqvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ulf Målare. That made the score 3-0 in the 13 minute of play. When Charles Holmgren fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored King Faisal Babes F.C.'s protests and gave Charles Holmgren a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes King Faisal Babes F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Charles Holmgren. Ulf Målare made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Stefan Lindqvist sent off a good shot on target. When Kåre Kullander came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Sleepy Neanderthals fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kåre Kullander couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, King Faisal Babes F.C.'s Ulf Målare got control of the ball when Stefan Lindqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christoffer Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viggo Alefors having to interfere. Viggo Alefors showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Holmgren in the 27th minute of the match. When King Faisal Babes F.C.'s Orvar Sjöström in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viggo Alefors prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Viggo Alefors showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoffer Hedlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. A collision led to Sleepy Neanderthals getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Allan Fastesson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoffer Hedlund in the 43rd minute of play forced Sleepy Neanderthals's goalkeeper Viggo Alefors to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Kåre Kullander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sleepy Neanderthals's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kåre Kullander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. King Faisal Babes F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Stefan Lindqvist scored to the left of an out of position Ulf Målare, making the score, 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Fastesson to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Allan Fastesson made a precise shot to the right of Ulf Målare. King Faisal Babes F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Christoffer Hedlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viggo Alefors read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 67th minute Stefan Lindqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Målare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in King Faisal Babes F.C.'s zone, Kåre Kullander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulf Målare came out of the goal and Kåre Kullander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the game, Sleepy Neanderthals's Kåre Kullander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulf Målare made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Ulf Målare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kåre Kullander in the 93rd minute of the match. Thomas Kuse hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Torbjörn Hermansson hit a great freekick 100 minutes into the match. King Faisal Babes F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
