Spectators: 5001 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Michael Hellström kicked off to start the match. When Helge Glanselius came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Mellösa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Helge Glanselius couldn't finish the play. Brian Salkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Wallander having to interfere. With his leg Jimmie Wallander managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Mellösa's Folke Åström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Brian Salkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jimmie Wallander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charlie Ekström struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Jimmie Wallander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mellösa. Brian Salkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Folke Åström put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jimmie Wallander. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Hellström in the 27th minute of play forced Mellösa's goalkeeper Emanuel Skröder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Brian Salkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Wallander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Skröder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Bocklund in the 31st minute of the match. Jimmie Wallander was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Göran Gustafsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. In the 38th minute Brian Salkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Wallander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Folke Åström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimmie Wallander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Jimmie Wallander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Salkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kumla's zone, Folke Åström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmie Wallander came out of the goal and Folke Åström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brian Salkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brian Salkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Göran Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jimmie Wallander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Kumla getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Otto Ahlbeck hit a great ball. Mats Ek took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jimmie Wallander. Kumla's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Folke Åström might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimmie Wallander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Folke Åström ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Folke Åström in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmie Wallander saved Kumla from getting behind. Jimmie Wallander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Salkvist in the 83rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Folke Åström in the 84th minute of play forced Kumla's goalkeeper Jimmie Wallander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brian Salkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimmie Wallander having to make a save. Jimmie Wallander came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Mellösa's Folke Åström. But to his dismay, Folke Åström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Salkvist in the 90th minute of play forced Kumla's goalkeeper Jimmie Wallander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mellösa fully deserved thier win.
