In the 32nd match minute, Husbåtarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Lindkvist to maneuver through the defense. When Sigvard Sigman came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Husbåtarna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sigvard Sigman couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Mellösa's zone, Osvald Sigman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Skröder came out of the goal and Osvald Sigman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Mellösa booed when Husbåtarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Åberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

54 minutes into the game, Richard Haegg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mellösa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Husbåtarna the free kick. After 54 played minutes Mellösa got a freekick which was hit by Richard Haegg. Charles Lindkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Emanuel Skröder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Salkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingvar Hääger having to interfere. Husbåtarna's Osvald Sigman got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Skröder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Erik Brandt, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Sven-Åke Grönlund took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuel Skröder. Emanuel Skröder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 90th minute Göran Gustafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Hääger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
