Karl Palmkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl Palmkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Barck in the 9th minute of play. Månkarbo's Karl Palmkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Barck in the 11th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Johan Browald during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Månkarbo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Johan Browald to maneuver through the defense. Karl Palmkvist made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Tommy Barck sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th match minute, Västerås fotboll klubb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Alefors to maneuver through the defense. Tobias Samuelsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robin Myr having to make a save. Västerås fotboll klubb's Robin Myr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Påk in the 25th minute of play. Hans Bagge charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Bagge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Månkarbo getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Hans Bagge hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, Västerås fotboll klubb's Tommy Barck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Karl Palmkvist. Karl Palmkvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Karl Palmkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Barck, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of Västerås fotboll klubb booed when Månkarbo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertil Stabbe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Tobias Samuelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Månkarbo's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Samuelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Myr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henning Alefors was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Månkarbo booed when Västerås fotboll klubb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Ola Stålberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Barck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Karl Palmkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, one of Månkarbo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Månkarbo. With a little luck, Västerås fotboll klubb's Robin Myr got control of the ball when Tobias Samuelsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tobias Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robin Påk got free with Robin Myr in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Henning Alefors got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karl Palmkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henning Alefors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henning Alefors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Palmkvist having to interfere. Henning Alefors might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl Palmkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henning Alefors ran back to his position shaking his head. Tommy Barck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Palmkvist having to interfere.
