Spectators: 7448 (Terracing: 5587, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Otto Hermansson kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Kvarnström got free with Bengt-Arne Browald in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the match, Kappa's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Söderström came free, but Sven-Erik Forsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mölndal booed when Kappa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Erik Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Ahlbeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Otto Hermansson charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Ahlbeck in the 93rd minute of play forced Kappa's goalkeeper Sven-Erik Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Söderström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Sven-Erik Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Mölndal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kappa throughout the match.
