Galatasaray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Månkarbo the free kick. Månkarbo's Karl Palmkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Gustafsson in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Tobias Samuelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Månkarbo's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Samuelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Backlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tobias Samuelsson made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Månkarbo's goalkeeper Karl Palmkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sten Gustafsson. Bertil Stabbe kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sten Gustafsson got free with Karl Palmkvist in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sten Gustafsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Karl Palmkvist made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Månkarbo's zone, Ingvar Winström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, Bertil Stabbe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karl Palmkvist made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Sten Gustafsson sent off a good shot on target. Karl Palmkvist was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Ingvar Winström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ingvar Winström really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 86th minute, Sten Gustafsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Karl Palmkvist. The goal made the score 1-5. Sten Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Palmkvist having to interfere. Morgan Skog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Karl Palmkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galatasaray's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
