Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tage Burman started the match with the kick off. Robin Myr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tage Burman in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7th minute, Tage Burman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agne Fastesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Barck in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the Månkarbo defense, John Gustafsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agne Fastesson. The Månkarbo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agne Fastesson should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Månkarbo's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Barck came free, but Agne Fastesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agne Fastesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henning Alefors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Henning Alefors ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agne Fastesson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Barck in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agne Fastesson saved Månkarbo from getting behind. Agne Fastesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henning Alefors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Barck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agne Fastesson having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Månkarbo's goal looked a bit too open when John Gustafsson came free, but Agne Fastesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Karl Andberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robin Myr was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Agne Fastesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henning Alefors in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henning Alefors to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Tommy Barck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Månkarbo's Agne Fastesson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute Henning Alefors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agne Fastesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61stth minute of the game Tommy Barck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Månkarbo's Agne Fastesson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 64th minute, Marko Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tommy Barck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Henning Alefors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agne Fastesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Håkan Klint hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Marko Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marko Berg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Agne Fastesson firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 76th minute of the match Västerås fotboll klubb got a corner. Månkarbo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. John Gustafsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Månkarbo's Agne Fastesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henning Alefors in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Månkarbo's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Barck came free, but Agne Fastesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tage Burman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Robin Myr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Barck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agne Fastesson having to interfere. If Henning Alefors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henning Alefors was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Västerås fotboll klubb's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Västerås fotboll klubb's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
