Leif Kilstedt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Billy Walmarsson having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in The Bonebreakers's zone, Bertil Pil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billy Walmarsson came out of the goal and Bertil Pil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Nils Fanström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swindon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils Fanström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Billy Walmarsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Bertil Pil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Billy Walmarsson was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 18 minutes into the game, Konrad Bredberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Michel Lindgren. Konrad Bredberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Swindon FC's Leif Kilstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, The Bonebreakers's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Kilstedt came free, but Billy Walmarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertil Pil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Walmarsson having to interfere. Swindon FC's Leif Kilstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bertil Pil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Konrad Bredberg made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Swindon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Bolander came free, but Michel Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konrad Bredberg in the 54th minute of play forced Swindon FC's goalkeeper Michel Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven Tunström hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Leif Kilstedt took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Billy Walmarsson to make any attempt to save it. Nils Fanström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Billy Walmarsson. The Bonebreakers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Leif Kilstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 73 minutes, Bertil Pil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Swindon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertil Pil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bernt Göransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, The Bonebreakers's Arne Bolander got a free kick in the 81st minute. Michel Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Bolander, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute Konrad Bredberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Lindgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Swindon FC's Bertil Pil got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Swindon FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
