Fredrik Valler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juliusz Kowalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute, Torbjörn Kellberg made a precise shot to the right of Fredrik Valler. FC Letni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Fredrik Valler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torbjörn Kellberg in the 20th minute of the match. Stig Ahlgren kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Bengt-Arne Bergfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt-Arne Bergfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Rabben having to interfere. When Emil Elg fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lokomotiv Möllan's protests and gave Emil Elg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Letni booed when Lokomotiv Möllan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Elg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Bengt-Arne Bergfeldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Lokomotiv Möllan getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Mårten Forssberg hit a great ball. Fredrik Valler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helmut Kasparick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bengt-Arne Bergfeldt to make the kick off. Fredrik Valler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juliusz Kowalski in the 58th minute of play. Stig Ahlgren charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stig Ahlgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fredrik Valler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torbjörn Kellberg in the 61st minute of the match. After 63 played minutes Lokomotiv Möllan got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Gallin. Juliusz Kowalski took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fredrik Valler. Fredrik Valler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Arne Bergfeldt in the 69th minute of play forced Lokomotiv Möllan's goalkeeper Ferdinand Rabben to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Torbjörn Kellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Valler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ragnar Björklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Rabben having to interfere. A collision led to Lokomotiv Möllan getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Mårten Forssberg hit a great ball. After some careless play in the FC Letni defense, Helmut Kasparick kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fredrik Valler. The FC Letni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fredrik Valler should have stopped the shot. Fredrik Valler made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Helmut Kasparick sent off a good shot on target. If Bengt-Arne Bergfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Arne Bergfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Rabben having to interfere. Fredrik Valler made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Helmut Kasparick sent off a good shot on target. Lokomotiv Möllan's Ferdinand Rabben played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Simonsson in the 87th minute of play. Fredrik Valler came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Lokomotiv Möllan's Emil Elg. But to his dismay, Emil Elg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 93rd minute of the match Erland Bergren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fredrik Valler skillfully saved the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Möllan's Helmut Kasparick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fredrik Valler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Helmut Kasparick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lokomotiv Möllan's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
