Michel Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Ahlroht in the 4th minute of the match. Råsunda IS's Egil Bäckman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Carl Johansson in the 10 minute of the game. Charles Ahlroht could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Michel Lindgren made a huge save. Swindon FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Egil Bäckman 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Swindon FC's Johannes Häll got a free kick in the 18th minute. The audience was convinced that Bertil Pil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torsten Lundström was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Torsten Lundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertil Pil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Råsunda IS's Torsten Lundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Broman in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mikael Gustavsson to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Swindon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Ahlroht came free, but Michel Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Egil Bäckman notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Swindon FC's Michel Lindgren. Michel Lindgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bertil Pil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Lundström having to interfere. Roger Broman shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Johnny Viklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 played minutes Råsunda IS got a freekick which was hit by Egil Bäckman. Leif Kilstedt struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Torsten Lundström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swindon FC. In the 97th minute, Bertil Pil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Råsunda IS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Swindon FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
