The crowd rose to their feet as Aristide Giroux kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leif Wennerqvist. That made the score 3-0 in the 45 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aristide Giroux was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Christian Palmquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvid Albäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Alvar Törnkvist had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Sebastian Walroth's late challenge caught a Konyaspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
