When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Marcus Löfdahl sped through Axvall FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Torsten Skager. 25 minutes into the game, Alfred Danielsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Axvall FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rydaholm IFK the free kick. In the 28th minute, Marcus Löfdahl left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rydaholm IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The supporters of Axvall FF booed when Rydaholm IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pär Stabbe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35thth minute of the game Mansur Özen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rydaholm IFK's Torbjörn Öberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Lundberg in the 42nd minute of play forced Axvall FF's goalkeeper Torsten Skager to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axvall FF's Torsten Skager played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Löfdahl in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute, Axvall FF's Mansur Özen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Torbjörn Öberg. Torbjörn Öberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2.

The wind increased when Mansur Özen made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Pär Stabbe took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Torsten Skager to make any attempt to save it. Marcus Löfdahl's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Torsten Skager firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Axvall FF's Mansur Özen in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marko Nilsson lost his temper 97 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 97 minutes into the game, one of Rydaholm IFK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jan Blom shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The Rydaholm IFK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rydaholm IFK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
