In the 9th match minute, Owls BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Törnkvist to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kåre Bratt in the 11th minute of play forced Owls BK's goalkeeper Jörn Rydelius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Alf Joensson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joachim Fransson skillfully saved the ball. 27 minutes into the match, GrandeRodeOlofMMyFriend's goal looked a bit too open when Ulrik Vallmark came free, but Joachim Fransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Sten Gernberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christer Böcklund scored 0-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joachim Fransson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alf Joensson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joachim Fransson. GrandeRodeOlofMMyFriend's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kåre Bratt let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 46th minute shot 1-1 at rihgt post. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kåre Bratt was the one to do the kick off. Joachim Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrik Vallmark in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulrik Vallmark in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joachim Fransson saved GrandeRodeOlofMMyFriend from getting behind. The supporters of GrandeRodeOlofMMyFriend booed when Owls BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Joensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mats Törnkvist came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Owls BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mats Törnkvist couldn't finish the play. Sten Gernberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joachim Fransson having to make a save. GrandeRodeOlofMMyFriend's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kåre Bratt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joachim Fransson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orvar Jönsson in the 77th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Christer Böcklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Owls BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christer Böcklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kåre Bratt in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörn Rydelius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute, Sten Gernberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, GrandeRodeOlofMMyFriend's goalkeeper Joachim Fransson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sten Gernberg. Mats Törnkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orvar Jönsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Joachim Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Owls BK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GrandeRodeOlofMMyFriend.
