Emil Månsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erland Hagström in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Sverker Blixt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leif Browall. Sverker Blixt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 35th match minute, Lund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Örnberg to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Lund's Dick Lindman got a free kick in the 37th minute. Thomas Lindberg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, FK Crvena Zvezda's goal looked a bit too open when Sverker Blixt came free, but Leif Browall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half FK Crvena Zvezda were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute Sverker Blixt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Browall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isak Hjälm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Manfred Eklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil Månsson made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Malcolm Göransson sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Lund's Karl Örnberg got a free kick in the 64th minute. Erland Hagström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Emil Månsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sverker Blixt in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leif Browall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, FK Crvena Zvezda's Uno Bergqvist got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Greger Ström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leif Browall skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of FK Crvena Zvezda booed when Lund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfred Eklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erland Hagström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Månsson having to interfere. Leif Browall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sverker Blixt in the 85th minute of play.
