After 14 minutes, Olof Springfält mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sörberge and the Edsbro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olof Springfält hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. If Charles Kellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Fribäck struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Gunnar Carlsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sörberge. Sörberge's Wilhelm Lundqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edsbro's Svante Offendahl got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Edsbro's Robin Jönsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tomas Kielberg. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. Gunnar Carlsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Fribäck in the 34th minute of the match. Wilhelm Lundqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edsbro's Gunnar Carlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Tholsson in the 38th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brian Hjelm got free with Tomas Kielberg in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dan Fribäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Fribäck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, one of Sörberge:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sörberge. In the 61st minute, Edvin Nordstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sörberge's Dan Fribäck got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 76 minutes, Wilhelm Lundqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sörberge and the Edsbro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Edsbro booed when Sörberge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilhelm Lundqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Brian Hjelm came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Edsbro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brian Hjelm couldn't finish the play. Edvin Nordstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Sörberge's Wilhelm Lundqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gunnar Carlsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edsbro's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
