The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Totte´s BK's Jörgen Jönsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pål Lönn in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Grottan Boys booed when Totte´s BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Klint didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Christer Engström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Totte´s BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christer Engström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Douglas Unesson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christer Engström's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 22ndth minute of the game Christer Engström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grottan Boys's Douglas Unesson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jörgen Jönsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Apelkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Totte´s BK's Kurt Alberg got a free kick in the 34th minute. If Henry Apelkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Unesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Engström in the 41st minute of play.

The supporters of Totte´s BK booed when Grottan Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Heggert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 53 minutes of play, Totte´s BK's Christer Engström made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas Unesson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Totte´s BK's zone, Henry Apelkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörgen Jönsson came out of the goal and Henry Apelkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pål Lönn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jörgen Jönsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry Apelkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörgen Jönsson having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Grottan Boys's Henry Apelkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jörgen Jönsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Douglas Unesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Erik Wassenius in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Grottan Boys's Kalle Fagrell got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Grottan Boys's goalkeeper Douglas Unesson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pål Lönn might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jörgen Jönsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pål Lönn ran back to his position shaking his head. After 77 played minutes Grottan Boys got a freekick which was hit by Hans Sundberg. Totte´s BK's Karl-Erik Wassenius got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pål Lönn got free with Jörgen Jönsson in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexander Alin charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Alin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexander Alin kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Douglas Unesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilgot Moberg in the 99th minute of the match. Grottan Boys's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
