Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brian Hjelm got the match started through his kick off. Gunnar Carlsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pål Nilsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. 6 minutes in the game, Lennart Deckbergh fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gunnar Carlsson having to interfere. After having played for 10 minutes, Lennart Deckbergh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. StarFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lennart Deckbergh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Brian Hjelm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edsbro's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian Hjelm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Olof Gustavsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 14 played minutes StarFC got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Pilblad. In the 16th minute, Lennart Deckbergh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pål Nilsson in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gunnar Carlsson saved Edsbro from getting behind. If Brian Hjelm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, StarFC's Lennart Deckbergh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gunnar Carlsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gunnar Carlsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Pilblad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Edsbro's goal looked a bit too open when Pål Nilsson came free, but Gunnar Carlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pål Nilsson in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gunnar Carlsson saved Edsbro from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pål Nilsson made a kick off. After a rather tough play, StarFC's Pål Nilsson got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Pål Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to StarFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Tage Vase hit a great ball. Edsbro's Brian Hjelm was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Pål Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. StarFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pål Nilsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brian Hjelm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The StarFC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
