Georg Sörman started the match with the kick off. Sten Ekeberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pål Nilsson in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, StarFC's goal looked a bit too open when Georg Sörman came free, but Sven-Olof Gustavsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Georg Sörman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Nilsson in the 15th minute of play forced Landskrona United FC's goalkeeper Sten Ekeberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pål Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Sten Ekeberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Georg Sörman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When StarFC's Pål Nilsson in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Landskrona United FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 25 minutes, Philip Törnkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Landskrona United FC and the StarFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Philip Törnkvist hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Anthon Holmberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sven-Olof Gustavsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Georg Sörman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sven-Olof Gustavsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sten Ekeberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart Deckbergh, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Lennart Deckbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Ekeberg having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Pål Nilsson made the kick off in the second half. Sten Ekeberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pål Nilsson's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. When Anthon Holmberg came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Landskrona United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthon Holmberg couldn't finish the play. Pål Nilsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 71 in the game by Lennart Deckbergh from a close distance when the talented Sten Ekeberg managed to make a qualified save. Landskrona United FC's players were relieved. Lennart Deckbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Ekeberg having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Kurt Pilblad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. StarFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Pilblad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. StarFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
