In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Edsbro's goalkeeper Gunnar Carlsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Karl-Magnus Tillman notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Edsbro's Gunnar Carlsson. Gunnar Carlsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the match, Bongo Blues's goalkeeper Kim Uggla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brian Hjelm. Bongo Blues's Kim Uggla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Bongo Blues from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Bongo Blues's Ulf Axelsson fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Walter Matsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gunnar Carlsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Axelsson in the 41st minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brian Hjelm made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Ulf Axelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Carlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Edsbro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Hjelm to maneuver through the defense. When Ulf Axelsson came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Bongo Blues fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Axelsson couldn't finish the play. Bongo Blues's Ulf Axelsson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 63rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 66 minutes into the game, Adam Olofsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edsbro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bongo Blues the free kick. In the 66th minute, Adam Olofsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 minutes of play, Bongo Blues's Ulf Axelsson made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gunnar Carlsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 73 played minutes Edsbro got a freekick which was hit by Robin Jönsson. In the 80th match minute, Bongo Blues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Wållander to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Robin Jönsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kim Uggla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ulf Axelsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gunnar Carlsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Edvin Nordstedt hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Walter Matsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Carlsson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ulf Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bongo Blues's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulf Axelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gunnar Carlsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bongo Blues's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
