The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Robert Sjödin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. Robert Sjödin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörgen Jönsson having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C. København's Mathias Pihl slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jörgen Jönsson. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Mathias Pihl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jörgen Jönsson was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Jörgen Jönsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Pihl in the 12th minute of the match. A collision led to Totte´s BK getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Vilgot Moberg hit a great ball. Mathias Pihl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Karl-Erik Wassenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Totte´s BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Erik Wassenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludwig Carlsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 25 in the game by Robert Sjödin from a close distance when the talented Jörgen Jönsson managed to make a qualified save. Totte´s BK's players were relieved. Tord Odman's late challenge caught a Totte´s BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tord Odman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Totte´s BK booed when F.C. København was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tord Odman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Totte´s BK were awarded a corner. Roland Wallin went to the cornerflag to take it. Robert Sjödin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörgen Jönsson having to interfere. Jörgen Jönsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Pihl, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Robert Sjödin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jörgen Jönsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Totte´s BK's Jörgen Jönsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Pihl in the 40th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Christer Engström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathias Pihl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Mathias Pihl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörgen Jönsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ludwig Carlsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Engström in the 54th minute of play. Karl-Erik Wassenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludwig Carlsson having to interfere. After having played for 72 minutes, Karl-Erik Wassenius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Totte´s BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Erik Wassenius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mathias Pihl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jörgen Jönsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77thth minute of the game Mathias Pihl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Totte´s BK's Jörgen Jönsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Harald Ekström charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harald Ekström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The long shot by Roland Wallin in the 83rd minute really tested Ludwig Carlsson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 87th minute, Sören Ennegren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jörgen Jönsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. A collision led to Totte´s BK getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Kaj Sjödin hit a great ball. Mathias Pihl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jörgen Jönsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. København were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Totte´s BK for a fine match.
