When Björn Stensson came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Suicidal Tryhards fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Björn Stensson couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Jonsson in the 4th minute of play forced The Lions's goalkeeper Folke Falkrantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kristian Martinsson fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Suicidal Tryhards's protests and gave Kristian Martinsson a yellow card for diving instead. Kristian Martinsson hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Dag Bohlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Olof Lindmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Peter Tholsson fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Peter Tholsson hit a great ball. Filip Lindqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Olof Lindmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Suicidal Tryhards's zone, Dag Bohlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olof Lindmark came out of the goal and Dag Bohlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jens-Ola Ingvall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Olof Lindmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dag Bohlin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olof Lindmark read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Dag Bohlin might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olof Lindmark. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dag Bohlin ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to The Lions getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Kalle Gallberg hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, The Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Jonsson came free, but Folke Falkrantz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Lions's Folke Falkrantz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Stensson in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Joar Fogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kristian Martinsson was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 37 minutes had been played. A collision led to Suicidal Tryhards getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Kristian Martinsson hit a great ball. Dag Bohlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joar Fogel kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Christopher Jonsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Falkrantz having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Christopher Jonsson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of The Lions's Folke Falkrantz. Folke Falkrantz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Peter Tholsson was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Bohlin in the 58th minute of play forced Suicidal Tryhards's goalkeeper Olof Lindmark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Lions's Folke Falkrantz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christopher Jonsson in the 63rd minute of play. Sven-Erik Lindberg's late challenge caught a Suicidal Tryhards's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Erik Lindberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 played minutes The Lions got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Erik Lindberg. A collision led to The Lions getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Sven-Erik Lindberg hit a great ball. Christopher Jonsson scored 0-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Folke Falkrantz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The attack was good, but when Dag Bohlin in the 76th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The Lions's Folke Falkrantz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Stensson in the 80th minute of play. Dag Bohlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olof Lindmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dag Bohlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After some careless play in the Suicidal Tryhards defense, Dag Bohlin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olof Lindmark. The Suicidal Tryhards fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olof Lindmark should have stopped the shot.
