Kalle Gallberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Bammerman in the 11th minute of play forced The Lions's goalkeeper Folke Falkrantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Bohlin in the 14th minute of play forced Njutångers BK's goalkeeper Fred Björkdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Erik Lindberg was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 15 minutes into the match. The supporters of Njutångers BK booed when The Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Erik Lindberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. George Sjögren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Folke Falkrantz. The Lions's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Dag Bohlin put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fred Björkdahl. If Jimmie Odin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joar Fogel kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, The Lions's Jens-Ola Ingvall got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute, Kalle Gallberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Adrian Ström came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Njutångers BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Ström couldn't finish the play. Adrian Ström struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Folke Falkrantz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Njutångers BK.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jimmie Odin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fred Björkdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dag Bohlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Joar Fogel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joar Fogel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimmie Odin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dag Bohlin kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Joar Fogel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Lions fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Emil Bammerman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute Joar Fogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Björkdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Lions fans cheered their team off the field, for while Njutångers BK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
