Robert Nyman succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 9th playminute. In the 13th minute, Hjalmar Lindqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Linberg in the 15th minute of play forced Fc Malmö's goalkeeper Anton Glanselius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Fc Malmö got a freekick which was hit by Staffan Lundberg. When Sten Ambjörnsson fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lakene IFK's protests and gave Sten Ambjörnsson a yellow card for diving instead. Robert Nyman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Stephansson having to interfere. Eric Hjeltman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Fc Malmö booed when Lakene IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hjalmar Lindqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Hjalmar Lindqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lakene IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hjalmar Lindqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 played minutes Fc Malmö got a freekick which was hit by Henning Blomqvist. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Eric Hjeltman made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Eric Hjeltman notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Fc Malmö's Anton Glanselius. Anton Glanselius was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 57th minute Hjalmar Lindqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Glanselius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Hjeltman's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute, Stig-Arne Höijer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Anton Glanselius managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Lakene IFK's Eric Hjeltman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Anton Glanselius successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hjalmar Lindqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fc Malmö's goalkeeper Anton Glanselius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anton Glanselius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hjalmar Lindqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Eric Hjeltman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lakene IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Hjeltman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Glanselius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Hjalmar Lindqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anton Glanselius had great luck who in the 80thth minute grab hold of the ball when Hjalmar Lindqvist from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Fc Malmö's Anton Glanselius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Linberg in the 85th minute of play. Staffan Lundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Edgar Stephansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anton Glanselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viggo Eskilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anton Glanselius was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sten Ambjörnsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 90 minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Stig-Arne Höijer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anton Glanselius, 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viggo Eskilsson got free with Anton Glanselius in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lakene IFK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
