GGG's Erland Bergqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Björkqvist in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Abbekås BK booed when GGG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiktor Apelkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Björkqvist scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erland Bergqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 24 minutes into the game, GGG's Tord Hellsing nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Greger Snäll made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 29th minute, Agne Berglund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GGG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 32nd match minute, Abbekås BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Björkqvist to maneuver through the defense. Greger Snäll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agne Berglund in the 34th minute of the match. Greger Snäll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agne Berglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Thomas Björkqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erland Bergqvist. GGG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thomas Björkqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 41st minute Thomas Björkqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erland Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Thomas Björkqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abbekås BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Björkqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erland Bergqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Agne Berglund to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind GGG's goalkeeper Erland Bergqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frans Salkvist hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Tord Hellsing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greger Snäll having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Tord Hellsing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agne Berglund took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Greger Snäll. Greger Snäll dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Nils-Emil Uggla was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Abbekås BK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! In the 77th minute there was a penalty for GGG. Wiktor Apelkvist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Greger Snäll. 4-2. GGG's Agne Berglund got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sven-Olof Qvarnström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erland Bergqvist having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agne Berglund in the 92nd minute of play forced Abbekås BK's goalkeeper Greger Snäll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Wahlnäs charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Wahlnäs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th match minute, Abbekås BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Björkqvist to maneuver through the defense. Agne Berglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greger Snäll having to interfere.
