After some careless play in the Brantevik FF defense, Agne Berglund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edvard Björling. The Brantevik FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edvard Björling should have stopped the shot. In the 28thth minute of the game Agne Berglund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brantevik FF's Edvard Björling was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erland Bergqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Vallander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, Brantevik FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Molin to maneuver through the defense. Magnus Stephansson made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by GGG's Kalle Carlsson. Mattias Hjelm was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 50 played minutes Brantevik FF got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Hjelm. Kalle Carlsson's late challenge caught a Brantevik FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Erik Vallmark to make the kick off.
