Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pirates FC's Ragnar Forss started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Malcolm Hammarbäck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Folke Alebeck. Malcolm Hammarbäck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 7th minute Ingmar Gregersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulrik Karlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Nyvång booed when Pirates FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Petersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nyvång's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirates FC the free kick. After 15 played minutes Nyvång got a freekick which was hit by Algot Nyqvist. Joakim Gustavsson hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Ahlquist during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nyvång's Ulrik Karlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Forss in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Nyvång's Michael Ahlquist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Folke Alebeck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Joakim Gustavsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulrik Karlsson having to interfere. Jens-Åke Jönsätt kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Ragnar Forss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 35 minutes, Ingmar Gregersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirates FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingmar Gregersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ragnar Forss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, Ingmar Gregersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulrik Karlsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Folke Alebeck made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Folke Löfgren sent off a good shot on target. Bengt Petersson kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Michael Ahlquist kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

Sune Ahlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Algot Nyqvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Folke Alebeck. Pirates FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nyvång's zone, Ragnar Forss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulrik Karlsson came out of the goal and Ragnar Forss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ragnar Forss in the 55th minute of play forced Nyvång's goalkeeper Ulrik Karlsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Pirates FC's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Hammarbäck came free, but Folke Alebeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folke Alebeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Ahlquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Nyvång booed when Pirates FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andréas Västlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Pirates FC's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Hammarbäck came free, but Folke Alebeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folke Alebeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Bodin, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Folke Alebeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Löfgren in the 76th minute of play. Erik Bodin charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erik Bodin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Erik Bodin hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Folke Alebeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Sjögren, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 89 played minutes Ragnar Forss rounded Nyvång's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pirates FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
