The audience thought a goal was coming when Lennart Jernberg got free with Jörgen Deckberg in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Stig Malmgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match Markus Arenberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jörgen Deckberg skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Sonny Vennerkvist took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Jörgen Deckberg to make any attempt to save it.
