Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Piteå IF's Daniel Persson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Piteå IF defense, Rune Nordin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Erik Bollström. The Piteå IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Erik Bollström should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tage Eckegren in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Erik Bollström saved Piteå IF from getting behind. Rune Nordin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Karl-Erik Bollström made a huge save. If Karl-Magnus Söderberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Piteå IF's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Heden came free, but Karl-Erik Bollström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Erik Bollström came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Johanneslust's Rune Nordin. But to his dismay, Rune Nordin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Magnus Söderberg in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Erik Bollström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rune Nordin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl-Erik Bollström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Magnus Söderberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Olof Mogren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Johanneslust's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olof Mogren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tage Eckegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Karl-Erik Bollström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tage Eckegren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Erik Bollström having to make a save. Boris Örn hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. FC Johanneslust's Karl-Magnus Söderberg got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tage Eckegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Piteå IF's Edgar Falkrantz got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl-Magnus Söderberg was the one to do the kick off. Vilgot Ahlin charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vilgot Ahlin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st match minute, Piteå IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilgot Ahlin to maneuver through the defense. Reinhold Bucher hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Daniel Persson scored 4-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl-Åke Valrot, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Johanneslust's Rune Nordin got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Patrik Heden managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Johanneslust's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrik Heden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Erik Bollström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pontus Thorsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Ralf Hedling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pontus Thorsberg hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rune Nordin in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Erik Bollström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in FC Johanneslust's zone, Daniel Persson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Åke Valrot came out of the goal and Daniel Persson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, FC Johanneslust's Carl Eliasson got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 86thth minute of the game Karl-Magnus Söderberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piteå IF's Karl-Erik Bollström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Karl-Magnus Söderberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of FC Johanneslust booed when Piteå IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvin Delin didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that FC Johanneslust were the better team. FC Johanneslust's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
