The crowd rose to their feet as Strömsund's Malte Wik slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Karl-Erik Bollström. That made the score 1-1 after 13 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Börje Jonsson during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicklas Ahlström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Karl-Erik Bollström. That made the score 2-1 in the 30 minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Piteå IF's goal looked a bit too open when Malte Wik came free, but Karl-Erik Bollström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Erik Bollström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Olsson in the 46th minute of play.

Nicklas Ahlström hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Strömsund's Gustav Skålberg got control of the ball when Örjan Löfgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Strömsund's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
