Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sven-Edvin Alén started the match with the kick off. When Jesper Bryngelsson fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ljungby's protests and gave Jesper Bryngelsson a yellow card for diving instead. Rutger Fanström's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jakob Eckegren firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 11th minute, Dag Lange made a precise shot to the right of Jakob Eckegren. Ljungby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 17th play minute Rutger Fanström came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jakob Eckegren. 2-0. Ljungby's Jakob Eckegren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Ljungby from getting a goal against them. Dag Lange sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 minutes, Bo-Erik Frykberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ljungby and the Tågarp FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ljungby's Jakob Eckegren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Ljungby from getting a goal against them. Jakob Eckegren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Edvin Alén in the 26th minute. Jim Ahlström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frans Holmberg in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joakim Ljungberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Tågarp FK's Anders Malmström got a free kick in the 29th minute. Frans Holmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Joakim Ljungberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dag Lange sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frans Holmberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joakim Ljungberg having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Ragnar Gregersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ljungby's supporters rose to their feet, but Ragnar Gregersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joakim Ljungberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rutger Fanström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jakob Eckegren made a huge save. When Jim Ahlström fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ljungby's protests and gave Jim Ahlström a yellow card for diving instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thor Vacker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jakob Eckegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Alén in the 58th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Ljungby's goal looked a bit too open when Rutger Fanström came free, but Jakob Eckegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Lange in the 65th minute of play forced Ljungby's goalkeeper Jakob Eckegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tågarp FK! Jim Ahlström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute Rutger Fanström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jakob Eckegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thor Vacker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Joakim Ljungberg made a huge save. Tågarp FK's Joakim Ljungberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Tågarp FK from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Rutger Fanström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Alén in the 87th minute of play forced Ljungby's goalkeeper Jakob Eckegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rutger Fanström in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jakob Eckegren saved Ljungby from getting behind. Ivar Gerdberg hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When Thor Vacker came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Ljungby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thor Vacker couldn't finish the play. Frans Holmberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 99thth minute tested the skills of Joakim Ljungberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
