Spectators: 7483 (Terracing: 5614, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) Rönnäng BK's Joakim Rudkvist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Rönnäng BK's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Samuelsson came free, but Torsten Holmgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th match minute, Bredaryd IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Bäckman to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Bredaryd IFK's Tor Beckström got control of the ball when Rune Enegren tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, Thomas Botvidsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute Joakim Bäckman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes of play, Bredaryd IFK's Stefan Elg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Torsten Holmgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rönnäng BK's Torsten Holmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Samuelsson in the 19th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joakim Rudkvist in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tor Beckström saved Bredaryd IFK from getting behind. Kent Samuelsson scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Torsten Holmgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute Kent Samuelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Tor Beckström managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Rönnäng BK's Rune Enegren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 46th minute Alvin Vester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Rönnäng BK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bredaryd IFK were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Stefan Elg made the kick off in the second half. Torsten Holmgren was a little too slow when Stefan Elg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-3. Rönnäng BK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Stefan Elg scored to the left of an out of position Torsten Holmgren, making the score, 0-5. If Stefan Elg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Rönnäng BK's goal looked a bit too open when Alvin Vester came free, but Torsten Holmgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rönnäng BK's Torsten Holmgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Rönnäng BK from getting a goal against them. Torsten Holmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Elg in the 72nd minute of play. Torsten Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Samuelsson in the 74th minute of the match. When Bredaryd IFK's Stefan Elg in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rönnäng BK's goalie prevented a goal. Torsten Holmgren made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Alvin Vester sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute of the match, Kent Samuelsson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Torsten Holmgren was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Rönnäng BK getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Per-Olof Spetz hit a great ball. Alvin Vester could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Torsten Holmgren made a huge save.
