Ljungby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 19 minutes into the match, Stefan Elg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jakob Eckegren. Ljungby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefan Elg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Alvin Vester took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jakob Eckegren. Jakob Eckegren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Joakim Bäckman put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Jakob Eckegren. Thor Vacker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ljungby's Thor Vacker got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Frans Holmberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thor Vacker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Tor Beckström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvin Vester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakob Eckegren having to interfere. Jakob Eckegren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stefan Elg went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. When Joakim Bäckman fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bredaryd IFK's protests and gave Joakim Bäckman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bredaryd IFK getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Joakim Bäckman hit a great ball. Alvin Vester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jakob Eckegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Stefan Elg made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Ljungby's goalkeeper Jakob Eckegren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvin Vester. The supporters of Bredaryd IFK booed when Ljungby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo-Erik Frykberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stefan Elg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakob Eckegren having to interfere. A very nice done corner allowed Thomas Botvidsson to score against Jakob Eckegren in Ljungby's goal. 0-7 after 60 minutes. In the 63rd minute, Joakim Bäckman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jakob Eckegren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. If Kent Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Thor Vacker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bredaryd IFK's zone, Frans Holmberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tor Beckström came out of the goal and Frans Holmberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ljungby's Jakob Eckegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Elg in the 75th minute of play. Stefan Elg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jakob Eckegren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Stefan Elg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvin Vester got free with Jakob Eckegren in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Bredaryd IFK's Joakim Bäckman got a free kick in the 84th minute. Alvin Vester could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Jakob Eckegren made a huge save. After 89 played minutes Ljungby got a freekick which was hit by Jim Ahlström. If Alvin Vester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bredaryd IFK's Tor Beckström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thor Vacker in the 96th minute of play. Bredaryd IFK played a much better game than Ljungby and deserved their victory. The Ljungby players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
