An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Ekeberg in the 3rd minute of play forced Kristianstad DFF's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Hedström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 played minutes Skurup got a freekick which was hit by Rasmus Östlund. In the 8th minute of the match Olov Malm shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastian Apelqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nils Åhmans short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Sebastian Apelqvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tony Stigsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jan-Åke Hedström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Åke Hedström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Bergqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kristianstad DFF getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Nils Åhman hit a great ball. Sebastian Apelqvist made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Nils Åhman sent off a good shot on target. Stellan Lindell kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Tony Stigsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Hedström having to interfere. Nils Åhman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sebastian Apelqvist firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sven Ekeberg struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Jan-Åke Hedström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skurup. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kristianstad DFF's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Hedström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sebastian Apelqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kåre Josefsson went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tony Stigsson in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan-Åke Hedström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Sven Ekeberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Sixten Ahlbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Hedström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62ndth minute of the game Eric Bergqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kristianstad DFF's Jan-Åke Hedström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan-Åke Hedström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Stigsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 86th minute Nils Åhman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Apelqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Kristianstad DFF getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Kåre Josefsson hit a great ball. The Kristianstad DFF support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
