Eddie Ahlrot in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kjell-Arne Stolpe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A hard shot 23 in the game by Ivar Matsson from a close distance when the talented Kjell-Arne Stolpe managed to make a qualified save. Hörnefors IF's players were relieved. Freddie Benet kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Kjell-Arne Stolpe made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Eddie Ahlrot sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the game, Rune Boklund lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Ulrik Salkvist. The Hörnefors IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 81 played minutes Hörnefors IF got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Hydén. Kjell-Arne Stolpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Matsson in the 85th minute of play. After 86 minutes of play, Hörnefors IF's Bo-Erik Bergström made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulrik Salkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tommy Hellström's late challenge caught a Enskededalen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Chants of Hörnefors IF echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Enskededalen had held the ball for most of the match.
