Gösta Käcker got a throw-in 7 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Börge Sundén. In the 9th match minute, Lima FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Nyström to maneuver through the defense. Olle Lustig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Nyström in the 15th minute of play forced Segmon IF's goalkeeper Jaime Cordarell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes of play, Segmon IF's Nils-Åke Lindholm made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvald Ahlqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Linus Hellsing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Osvald Ahlqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Linus Hellsing struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Lima FK's Osvald Ahlqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerry Pihlwall in the 36th minute of play. Olle Lustig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvald Ahlqvist having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Lima FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Nyström to maneuver through the defense. Osvald Ahlqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Pihlwall, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Börge Sundén to make the kick off. If Mårten Gallberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lima FK's George Nyström got a free kick in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Jerry Pihlwall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Segmon IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Pihlwall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvald Ahlqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Herman Wennerlund fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Segmon IF's protests and gave Herman Wennerlund a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Segmon IF getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Herman Wennerlund hit a great ball. In the 70th match minute, Lima FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Olsmann to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Osvald Ahlqvist managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Segmon IF's Jerry Pihlwall fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerry Pihlwall got free with Osvald Ahlqvist in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Segmon IF's Jaime Cordarell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Nyström in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Lima FK booed when Segmon IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olle Lustig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerry Pihlwall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Osvald Ahlqvist made a huge save. When Olle Lustig, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 90 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Osvald Ahlqvist was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Segmon IF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lima FK.
