Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sven-Åke Fristedt started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Hörnefors IF's zone, Sven-Åke Fristedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell-Arne Stolpe came out of the goal and Sven-Åke Fristedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kjell-Arne Stolpe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Nyberg went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute Stig Björkdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Stolpe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Kilvik United got a freekick which was hit by Stig-Ove Tholsson. In the 25th minute, Sven-Olof Bergfelt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freddie Benet charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Freddie Benet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hörnefors IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! 29 minutes into the game, Alvin Gråberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kjell-Arne Stolpe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Ove Tholsson in the 34th minute of play forced Hörnefors IF's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Stolpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mattias Hydén kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Alvin Gråberg missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 40 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Kjell-Arne Stolpe right hand side. Hörnefors IF's Kjell-Arne Stolpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Åke Fristedt in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rune Boklund got free with Rickard Sandberg in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Sven-Åke Fristedt fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kilvik United's protests and gave Sven-Åke Fristedt a yellow card for diving instead. The Hörnefors IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kilvik United were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rune Boklund to make the kick off. The supporters of Kilvik United booed when Hörnefors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egil Jakobsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kilvik United's Rickard Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Boklund in the 54th minute of play. Evert Lundkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Nyberg in the 58th minute of play forced Hörnefors IF's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Stolpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Kilvik United got a corner. Hörnefors IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kjell-Arne Stolpe was a little too slow when Sven-Åke Fristedt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 0-3. After 82 played minutes Hörnefors IF got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Bergfelt. 89 minutes into the match, Kilvik United's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Boklund came free, but Rickard Sandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rickard Sandberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rune Boklund's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Hörnefors IF's Kjell-Arne Stolpe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Hörnefors IF from getting a goal against them. Kilvik United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
