Kilvik United's Rickard Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Jelm in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match, André Nyberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jan-Åke Hedström was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rickard Sandberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Josefsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rickard Sandberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kåre Josefsson in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Stig-Ove Tholsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kilvik United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 26th minute Sixten Gustavsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Sandberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Åke Fristedt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Ove Tholsson in the 51st minute of play forced Kristianstad DFF's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Hedström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Kilvik United's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Jelm came free, but Rickard Sandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 played minutes Kristianstad DFF got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Östlund. In the 60th minute of the match Alvin Gråberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan-Åke Hedström skillfully saved the ball. In the 63rd minute Stig-Ove Tholsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Hedström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Kilvik United's goalkeeper Rickard Sandberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils Åhman. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Nils Åhman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kristianstad DFF's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils Åhman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rickard Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nils Åhman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Stig-Ove Tholsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nils Åhman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kilvik United's goalkeeper Rickard Sandberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Nils Åhman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kristianstad DFF's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils Åhman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rickard Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rickard Sandberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nils Åhman in the 88th minute. Kilvik United's Sven-Åke Fristedt got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Stig Björkdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rickard Sandberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nils Åhman went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
