When Egil Jakobsson fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hörnefors IF's protests and gave Egil Jakobsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hörnefors IF! After a rather tough play, Hörnefors IF's Folke Hernström got a free kick in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rune Boklund made a kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kilvik United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Hörnefors IF. Rune Boklund stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rickard Sandberg. 2-2. Sven-Åke Fristedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eskil Beckström in the 64th minute of play forced Kilvik United's goalkeeper Rickard Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kjell-Arne Stolpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Åke Fristedt in the 66th minute of the match. If Sven-Åke Fristedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evert Lundkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When Folke Hernström fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. During the 86th minute of the match Egil Jakobsson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Egil Jakobsson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 87th match minute, Hörnefors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egil Jakobsson to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Olof Bergfelt charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Hörnefors IF were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Kilvik United's much stronger midfield.
