Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Genarp's Sven Fågel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kasper Westerstrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Emander in the 3rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvin Lang got free with Sture Wickander in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Magnus Emander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th match minute, IF Eksjö Fotboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Erik Månsson to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of IF Eksjö Fotboll booed when Genarp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Arne Näfver didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Sven-Erik Månsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kasper Westerstrand showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Genarp booed when IF Eksjö Fotboll was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th match minute, IF Eksjö Fotboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikael Sandberg to maneuver through the defense. Sture Wickander made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Edvin Lang sent off a good shot on target. Birger Sörman hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After 21 minutes of play, Genarp's Edvin Lang made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sture Wickander was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Edvin Lang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kasper Westerstrand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calle Josefsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Oskar Utfal fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Genarp's protests and gave Oskar Utfal a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Genarp fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! In the 36th minute there was a penalty for IF Eksjö Fotboll. Sven-Erik Månsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kasper Westerstrand. 1-1. Sture Wickander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven Fågel's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute, Edvin Lang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Magnus Emander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calle Josefsson to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven Fågel in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sture Wickander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. IF Eksjö Fotboll's Sture Wickander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Fågel in the 55th minute of play. If Sven Fågel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Mikael Sandberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in IF Eksjö Fotboll's zone, Sven Fågel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sture Wickander came out of the goal and Sven Fågel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Edvin Lang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Genarp's goalkeeper Kasper Westerstrand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes into the game, Genarp's Tage Björkkvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sture Wickander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edvin Lang in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sture Wickander saved IF Eksjö Fotboll from getting behind. After 83 played minutes Genarp got a freekick which was hit by Evert Bäcklin. A hard shot by Sven-Erik Månsson from long distance, 83 minutes into the match, got Kasper Westerstrand's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Magnus Emander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sture Wickander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Fågel in the 91st minute of the match. Edvin Lang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Sture Wickander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sture Wickander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Bäcklin, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Genarp's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
