Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Michel Olsman started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, IF Eksjö Fotboll's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Harald Mikaelsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Isaac Österberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the game, Kaj Örnberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Trelleborg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IF Eksjö Fotboll the free kick. After 10 played minutes IFK Trelleborg got a freekick which was hit by Kaj Örnberg. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Calle Josefsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. IF Eksjö Fotboll's supporters rose to their feet, but Calle Josefsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ted Gunnarsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leif Lövskog's late challenge caught a IFK Trelleborg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leif Lövskog helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to IF Eksjö Fotboll getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Leif Lövskog hit a great ball. If Michel Olsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harald Mikaelsson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Harald Mikaelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Isaac Österberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Olsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sture Wickander having to interfere. Sture Wickander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Österberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Alfred Asmundsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Trelleborg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IF Eksjö Fotboll the free kick. After 33 played minutes IFK Trelleborg got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Asmundsson. IF Eksjö Fotboll's Sven-Erik Månsson got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, IF Eksjö Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Olsman came free, but Sture Wickander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Michel Olsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Calle Josefsson made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, IF Eksjö Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Thedin came free, but Sture Wickander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harald Mikaelsson hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Isaac Österberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Sture Wickander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the IF Eksjö Fotboll defense, Michel Olsman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sture Wickander. The IF Eksjö Fotboll fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sture Wickander should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Torsten Thedin notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of IF Eksjö Fotboll's Sture Wickander. Sture Wickander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sture Wickander came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by IFK Trelleborg's Torsten Thedin. But to his dismay, Torsten Thedin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The IFK Trelleborg fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when IFK Trelleborg's Torsten Thedin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 87 minutes into the match, IFK Trelleborg's Torsten Thedin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sture Wickander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Michel Olsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
