But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Örnberg couldn't finish the play. Andreas Magnusson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt Söderberg in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaf Gustafsson in the 27th minute of play forced Årsta FF's goalkeeper Kurt Ryberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Jan Kruuse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Vincent's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Årsta FF the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Lindholm during the 46th minute. The ball had pretty good speed, but Andreas Magnusson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Paul Örnberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The referee showed Lucas Frykberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Årsta FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Örnberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Magnusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Årsta FF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Årsta FF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
