Harald Mikaelsson's late challenge caught a Nelson Solidaritet AIF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harald Mikaelsson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to IFK Trelleborg getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Harald Mikaelsson hit a great ball. Sten Gallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Gunnarsson having to interfere. When Isaac Österberg came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the IFK Trelleborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Österberg couldn't finish the play. Holger Dusett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michel Olsman's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 30th match minute, IFK Trelleborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harald Mikaelsson to maneuver through the defense. If Michel Olsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickard Friberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ted Gunnarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Harald Mikaelsson came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the IFK Trelleborg fans jumped to their feet. Axel Almstedt charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Almstedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 47 minutes into the game, one of Nelson Solidaritet AIF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Nelson Solidaritet AIF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. IFK Trelleborg were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michel Olsman to make the kick off. IFK Trelleborg's Ted Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Gallin in the 55th minute of play. Holger Dusett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michel Olsman's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The supporters of IFK Trelleborg booed when Nelson Solidaritet AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenny Ahlbeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Isaac Österberg took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Holger Dusett to make any attempt to save it. In the 66th minute, Harald Mikaelsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christer Nyqvist's late challenge caught a IFK Trelleborg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 71 minutes of play IFK Trelleborg's Harald Mikaelsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. The Nelson Solidaritet AIF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as IFK Trelleborg's Andréas Vennerström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Holger Dusett. That made the score 2-5 after 83 minutes of play. Patrik Hedling hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Nelson Solidaritet AIF's Holger Dusett got control of the ball when Torsten Thedin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Nelson Solidaritet AIF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. IFK Trelleborg were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
