Edvin Lang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sture Wickander having to interfere. A collision led to IF Eksjö Fotboll getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Leif Lövskog hit a great ball. After 8 played minutes Genarp got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Apelkvist. In the 12th minute, Edvin Lang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Magnus Emander came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the IF Eksjö Fotboll fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magnus Emander couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Genarp getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Kenneth Johansson hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, IF Eksjö Fotboll's Leif Lövskog got a free kick in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Edvin Lang notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of IF Eksjö Fotboll's Sture Wickander. Sture Wickander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Genarp's Tage Björkkvist got a free kick in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Magnus Emander got free with Kasper Westerstrand in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kasper Westerstrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calle Josefsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Magnus Emander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikael Sandberg charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mikael Sandberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The IF Eksjö Fotboll players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Genarp were winning 0-1.

In the 56th minute, Evert Bäcklin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 played minutes IF Eksjö Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Leif Lövskog. Oskar Utfal, 59 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Magnus Emander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Kasper Westerstrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Genarp getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Bengt Apelkvist hit a great ball. Calle Josefsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Edvin Lang kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sture Wickander. That made the score 0-2 in the 70 minute of play. Leif Lövskog hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Genarp's Oskar Utfal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to IF Eksjö Fotboll getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Urban Hermansson hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Genarp's Edvin Lang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sture Wickander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, IF Eksjö Fotboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Lövskog to maneuver through the defense. Sture Wickander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvin Lang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calle Josefsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kasper Westerstrand having to make a save. Sture Wickander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edvin Lang's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Edvin Lang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kasper Westerstrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calle Josefsson in the 96th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Genarp walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
