The supporters of Al-Långvinkeln II booed when Västerås City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Fagrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Svanér in the 8th minute of play forced Västerås City's goalkeeper Wictor Utfal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Söderlund came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Västerås City's Thomas Sundström. But to his dismay, Thomas Sundström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Marcus Söderlund made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Mark Kling sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the match, Västerås City's Mark Kling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Söderlund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Västerås City's Wictor Utfal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Svanér in the 22nd minute of play. Wictor Utfal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magnus Svanér, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute, Fredrik Lundberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mark Kling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Magnus Svanér shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wictor Utfal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thor Åberg's late challenge caught a Västerås City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thor Åberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Al-Långvinkeln II got a freekick which was hit by Thor Åberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verner Brandin in the 40th minute of play forced Al-Långvinkeln II's goalkeeper Marcus Söderlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Rydelius kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Al-Långvinkeln II's Sven-Edvin Byström got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Västerås City's Verner Brandin got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rutger Blomqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Mark Kling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Al-Långvinkeln II getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Mattias Browald hit a great ball. Wictor Utfal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rutger Blomqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After some careless play in the Al-Långvinkeln II defense, Andréas Wallander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Söderlund. The Al-Långvinkeln II fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Söderlund should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simon Billvall during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Rutger Blomqvist came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Al-Långvinkeln II fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rutger Blomqvist couldn't finish the play. Västerås City's Wictor Utfal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Västerås City from getting a goal against them. Thor Åberg kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Mark Kling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Magnus Svanér could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Wictor Utfal made a huge save. With a little luck, Västerås City's Wictor Utfal got control of the ball when Thor Åberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 88 played minutes Västerås City got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Fagrell. The crowd rose to their feet as Kjell Karlstedt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wictor Utfal. That made the score 2-1 in the 92 minute of play.
