Wictor Utfal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Rudkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Wictor Utfal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Rudkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wictor Utfal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sverker Vallengren went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Wictor Utfal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Soned, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Soned in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wictor Utfal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wictor Utfal didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Söderströms IF's Henry Soned shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of Västerås City booed when Söderströms IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Bengtsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Kling could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Hugo Törnqvist made a huge save. Thor Rydelius's late challenge caught a Västerås City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thor Rydelius helped the player get up and apologised. Thor Rydelius kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Verner Brandin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Västerås City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Wictor Utfal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Stor in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Soned in the 32nd minute of play forced Västerås City's goalkeeper Wictor Utfal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Verner Brandin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västerås City's supporters rose to their feet, but Verner Brandin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Törnqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wictor Utfal came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Söderströms IF's Sverker Vallengren. But to his dismay, Sverker Vallengren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After 45 minutes, Knut Drake mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Söderströms IF and the Västerås City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Västerås City booed when Söderströms IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knut Drake didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fredrik Lundberg hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Söderströms IF's Henry Soned broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 55 played minutes Västerås City got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Fagrell. Västerås City's Wictor Utfal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Västerås City from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Västerås City's Wictor Utfal got control of the ball when Sverker Vallengren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Söderströms IF's Hugo Törnqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Kling in the 60th minute of play. Rolf Rudkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wictor Utfal having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Söderströms IF's goal looked a bit too open when Andréas Wallander came free, but Hugo Törnqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 played minutes Sverker Vallengren rounded Västerås City's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. In the 71st minute Sverker Vallengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wictor Utfal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sverker Vallengren scored 0-6 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wictor Utfal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Västerås City's Wictor Utfal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thor Rydelius in the 80th minute of play. Söderströms IF's Rolf Rudkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Verner Brandin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Söderströms IF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Västerås City.
